General information regarding programs and Sacremental Preparations:
Baptism – the parents must meet with the priest prior to scheduling a Baptism and
the Catholic parent(s) must be attending Mass regularly.
First Reconciliation and First Eucharist
– a child must have been in Religious Education Classes or attending Catholic School for 2 years
prior to receiving the Sacraments. The parents have a class with the priest prior to the reception of
each Sacrament. The Catholic parent(s) must be attending Mass regularly with their child.
Confirmation
– a child must have been in Religious Education Classes or attending Catholic School prior to receiving
the Sacrament in 9th grade. The parents have a class with the priest prior to the reception of
each Sacrament. The Catholic parent(s) must be attending Mass regularly with their child.
Matrimony
– according to the Diocesan Guidelines, there is a one year preparation period prior to the reception of the
Sacrament of Matrimony. The Catholic person(s) must be attending Mass regularly.
Knights of Columbus, Bishop Becker Council
would like to invite any practicing Catholic man in communion with the Holy See and who has attained his eighteenth
birthday to consider joining the Knights of Columbus. A practical Catholic is one who lives up to the
Commandments of God and the Precepts of the Church. Anyone interested in joining or simply learning more
